Dr. Hazel Addison

Dr. Addison is an experienced doctor who has been working on the Mornington Peninsula for the last 6 years, having moved with her family from Scotland in 2013.  Hazel has extensive local knowledge, and experience in all areas of family medicine.  Her interests include skin cancer medicine, surgery and family planning (including being able to fit Implanons and Iud’s).

Dr. Addison is able to provide comprehensive skin checks, having completed Certificates in Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery, while also holding a Diploma of Child Health from the Royal college of Paediatrics and Child Health, and a Diploma from the Faculty of Family Planning and Reproductive Healthcare.  Hazel also holds a Certificate in Aesthetic Medicine.

While training in the UK and Australia, Dr. Addison worked in emergency medicine, paediatrics, general medicine, trauma surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, and skin cancer medicine. She was a partner for 7 years in a GP practice in Scotland, before moving to Australia, and has worked across the Peninsula since then, including a period at the Emergency Department, Peninsula Private Hospital.  Hazel is passionate about all aspects of general practice, and enjoys the continuity of care, and the long term relationships this builds.

When not working, Hazel enjoys spending time with her young family, running with her dog, cooking, reading and playing her violin. She is an active member of the Frankston Symphony Orchestra and Peninsula Chamber Musicians and plays in several local concerts each year.
